Fairies the O.G. Recycler's |
Fairies are the O.G. (Original Gangster) recyclers. They make their wings from spider webs. Their clothes (which are always optional for fairies) are made of bits of nature, like pods and leaves. They dine outdoors and drink dew straight from the flowers. Not to mention fairies are very creative when it comes to the rest of their living arrangements. Fairies are so good at living in harmony with their chosen environment that it’s nearly impossible to find them.

Why is it such a good idea to buy or make reusable fabric bags? |
| |
Because you need to reuse a plastic or paper bag 11 times before you have helped reduced the environmental impact of the production and disposal of them. So even when you use a shopping bag to carry your wet swim trunks or pick up poo you really could be doing more. You make a real statement when you bring fabric bags into the stores. I enjoy watching the baggers fiddle with the bags as they learn how to put the items in. Eventually they get the hang of it! You can fit so much more into a fabric bag, which means fewer bags to load and unload. When you find it had to get rid of your favorite Tee you can turn it into a bag and get far more use out of it than you would if you let it disintegrate into nothing. They make a statement about YOU, that a plastic or paper bag never could. |

The photos remind you that nature is the ultimate when it comes to beauty. Most of the photos are taken right in my backyard. There is beauty everywhere.
Using native plants in your own landscaping can save you time and money by significantly reducing the need for fertilizers, pesticides and water.
Flowers don’t just look good they are need source of food for the birds and the bees.
Fairies need the flowers and the bits of wild land we have left. We need the fairies to help keep the magic of childhood alive our hearts.

| Packaging Awareness |
Look at packaging in new ways. Ask yourself what did it take to make the packaging? Where will it go once I get the product out? Can I recycle, reuse it, or compost it? Try to buy items with no packaging. Look for renewable resources like paper, cardboard, and plastic that is recyclable. Start looking for plant based “plastics” that can biodegrade and be composted. Start asking you favorite shops and restaurants to think about their packaging. There are a lot of price competitive eco-friendly packaging options. Everything piece of packaging out there has a greener alternative. WE shouldn’t have to fill our landfills with any of it. |
